ABOUT the TARCO® BRAND
TARCO® brand name products are fabricated, assembled and tested at Fort Miller FAB3 Corp, a diversified metal fabricator. All fabricated parts and subassemblies are made in America using primarily sourced U.S.A made components.
Forged in history and manufactured to endure, Tarrant Manufacturing Company, the predecessor company for Fort Miller FAB3, was incorporated in 1910 in Saratoga Springs, New York. The company started as a minor business of Tarrant & Company which was founded in 1883.
In 1946, as the highway maintenance market evolved, the company developed and patented the first effective salt spreader, the TARCO® Scotchman. A forerunner for material spreader designs, this product and other leaf collecting equipment were primarily sold to towns, villages and cities.
In 2007, the Tarrant Manufacturing Company was purchased by The Fort Miller Group, Inc. and renamed Loughberry Mfg. Corp. to reflect the change in ownership from the Tarrant family to Fort Miller Group. The company continued to grow at the Saratoga Springs location to the point that expanding became absolutely necessary.
In the spring of 2014, Loughberry was moved to the campus of The Fort Miller Group, Easton, NY and renamed Fort Miller FAB3 Corp. The new facility encompasses a 63,000 square foot manufacturing building with a state of the art machine shop, laser cutter, plasma cutter, robotic welders, shot blast facility, new downdraft paint booth and 14,000 square foot office space. The name was chosen to more closely associate the metal fabrication business to Fort Miller and our three primary markets: TARCO® products, high security-crash tested steel gates and steel forms and ISO compliant machined/fabricated parts.
TARCO® brand products have three main market segments:
Many have copied TARCO® but none have achieved the market prominence for endurance and longevity. This website presents our product line-up. If you wish more information on the process behind the product, please contact us.
